Privacy

Our games keep your progress in your own browser and send it nowhere. There is no account to make and nothing to log in to.

What the games store

Each game saves your progress — your streak, which levels you have finished, your settings — in your browser's own local storage, on your own device. We cannot read it, it is not sent to us or to anyone else, and clearing your browser data deletes it permanently. (The one exception is described under "When another site has identified you", below.) A game in a private window, or in a browser with site data switched off, simply keeps nothing and says so.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. We do not ask for your name, your email address or your age, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything to anyone.

Our host records ordinary web-server information when a page is requested — the page asked for, the time, a rough region, and the kind of browser — which is what any web server sees and is what tells us whether a game is being played at all. It is aggregated and is not tied to a person.

Playing on other sites

Our games also appear on game portals and on sites that embed them. When you play there you are on their site under their privacy policy, not this one, and what they collect is their own business — read theirs.

When another site has identified you

Some sites that embed our games want to reward you for playing, and to keep your progress when you come back. To do that they put their own user id for you in the address of the game — an opaque code like user-4821, chosen by them, meaningless to us.

When that id is present, and only then, we keep two things: the game's own save for that id — your streak, which levels you have finished, your settings — and a count of the events we have told that site about, so that daily limits work. That is the whole of it. The save is kept for a year after you last play and is deleted after that.

We do not receive your name, your email address or anything else that identifies you, and the sites that embed our games are required not to put such a thing in that id. We tell their server that the player they call user-4821 finished a puzzle; what they do with that is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.

Playing on unlatchgames.com is unaffected: there is no id, nothing is sent, and your progress stays in your own browser as it always has.

Children

Our games are made to be suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.

Changes, and how to reach us

If this ever changes — if a game gains an online mode that has to keep something on a server, for instance — this page will say so before that game ships, and will say exactly what is kept and for how long.

Questions about any of this can go to the support address on our store listings.
