Embedding terms

These are the terms you accept when you register for an embed code. They are short because the arrangement is simple: you may show our games on your site, as they are, for as long as it suits both of us.

What we grant

A non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to display Unlatch Games titles on the domains registered to your embed code, by embedding pages served from unlatchgames.com. The games, their code, their artwork and the Unlatch Games name remain ours. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything, and nothing here is a sublicence you can pass on.

What you agree to

Registration

Registering is automatic: there is no approval step and nobody reads your application, because there is not one. That does not make a code an entitlement. We revoke codes on sites that break the rules above, and we do not owe an explanation or a warning before doing it.

What we do not promise

The games are provided as they are. We do not guarantee that they will be available, that any particular title will stay in the catalogue, or that a game will keep working in a browser we have not seen. We are not liable for anything that follows from your use of them. If a game disappears from your page, the remedy is that you stop embedding it.

Ending it

Either of us may end this at any time, for any reason or none. You end it from your manage link, which stops the games loading on your pages at once. Ours takes effect when we revoke the code, which stops the games loading on your pages immediately — no notice period, no deploy, and no way for us to reach into your site and tidy up. Remove the embeds when that happens. Breaking any rule above is the usual reason a key is revoked.

Data

We keep the domain and email address you register, so we can tell you about a change to these terms and so you have an account at all. We log ordinary web-server information when a game page is requested, and we count plays per embed code so we know which sites send players.

If you send a uid to identify your players, we additionally keep that game's save against it, and a per-day count of events sent to you, for as long as that player keeps playing and a year after. That id is yours and opaque to us; we act on your instructions in handling it, and we use it for nothing else. If you close your account, tell us and we will delete it. That is the extent of it: no personal data about your visitors reaches us, and nothing is set in their browser by us beyond what the game needs to keep their own progress on their own device. Our privacy page is the whole story.

Changes

If these terms change we will email the address on your key before the change applies to you.
